A man was taken into custody Sunday evening after he assaulted a police officer and firefighter in west Wichita. Wichita Police Sgt. Nikki Woodrow reports a 25-year-old man drove erratically into the joint Wichita Police and Fire Department station in the 600 block of N. Elder about 6:45 p.m. Sunday night.

A Lubbock firefighter has filed a lawsuit to reverse the ruling of a city commission that governs promotions among fire and police personnel that denied him advancement in the department. According to Charles Turner II’s lawsuit, which was filed Friday in the 237th District Court, the Lubbock Civil Service Commission violated its policy during a promotion application process in June.

A fire that broke out on a barge full of shipping containers on the Duwamish Waterway near West Seattle on Monday was caused by rotting garbage inside one of those containers, according to fire investigators. The fire broke out just before 4 p.m. Monday, at the Alaska Marine Lines terminal located along West Marginal Way Southwest, and set off a massive hazmat team response.

Eef Bos has decided to step down as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of TenCate as of 1 October 2016. "Since the company entered into a new phase of its development, this is for me a natural moment to leave TenCate."

The Supervisory Board of TenCate thanks Eef Bos for his contribution and involvement with TenCate in the past years. The Supervisory Board has the intention to nominate Frank Spaan for appointment as his successor by the General Meeting of Shareholders as per 1 October 2016.

After this appointment the Executive Board of TenCate will consist of Jan Albers, CEO and Frank Spaan, CFO.
