NYPD and FDNY brawl during charity football game ironically nicknamed ‘Fun City Bowl’

VIDEO - The NYPD and FDNY have a long history of working together as one to save lives in New York City. But put them together on a field of play and all hell usually breaks loose. It happened again on Sunday, when the city's Bravest and Finest squared off in what was supposed to be a charity football game at MCU Park on Coney Island.

Billy Goldfeder, Author of the Secret List, Prevails in Illinois Lawsuit

Chief Billy Goldfeder, co-owner of FirefighterCloseCalls.com, writer of the Secret List since 1988, and a 43 year veteran of the fire service, was sued last year by an Illinois non-profit, Remembrance Rescue Project, over content he published in an email in 2014. The suit was dismissed today by Judge Anna H.

Drunk man hitched ride on Dallas Fire-Rescue truck responding to disturbance, police say

A man was arrested on a public intoxication charge after hitching an unauthorized ride on a Dallas Fire-Rescue truck early Monday. Pullman Fire Department pins eight new recruits at graduation

Firefighters are responsible for aiding the public in times of need. But even the most skilled ones have to start somewhere. Over the weekend the Pullman Fire Department held its graduation for their latest recruit class. Eight members of the academy were pinned making them eligible to become full time firefighters.
