PHOTOS: Woman rescued after car goes over embankment in Edmonds

Snohomish County Fire District 1 crews were called to the 400 block of Howell Way about 2:15 p.m. Sunday to rescue a woman from her vehicle after it went over this embankment near the MS Helping Hands store. According to Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes, it took about 45 minutes to get the victim out of the car.

Investigators say Tukwila fire intentionally set

Police officers were able to pull a man to safety after a fire Friday afternoon in Tukwila. The fire started around 4:15p in the 5600 block of S. 150th St. When crews arrived, they were told someone was still inside the residence. Two officers entered the home to pull the man outside. He was treated for smoke inhalation, as were the two officers and sent to hospital as a precaution.
