Stephanie Dyches was told Cora, her 7-year-old pitbull mix, had died.
“He said I don’t think she made it,” Dyches remembers hearing from firefighters.
She’s glad they were wrong.
Dyches car caught fire while she and her 4-year-old daughter Serenity were shopping at the Bonney Lake Wal-Mart.
Someone called 911 when they noticed smoke coming from the windows that had been left cracked open to give Cora fresh air.
