One person was sent to the hospital after a fire consumed a Lexington home Tuesday morning.
Bryan Ditterick, spokesman for Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue, said there were three people at the home, on the 100 block of Lexington Avenue, when Cowlitz 2 firefighters arrived. It’s unclear whether all three people were residents of the home.

East County Fire and Rescue leaders are continuing their efforts to find a new chief, but other options are also being considered.
According to Interim Chief Al Gillespie, the commission has narrowed to two the number of candidates being considered to fill the position.
Emergency Services Consulting International submitted the names and resumes of six potential candidates to the commission following the closure of the application period of the nationwide search on Jan.

City of Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and Phoenix Police Chief Joseph Yahna praised the work of emergency personnel who responded to a tragic and volatile situation on Tuesday morning.
First responders showed up to a neighborhood south of Cactus Road and 47th Avenue to find a house on fire with an active shooter and four related victims inside.
