Missouri firefighter apparently commits suicide near fire station

Kansas City police are investigating a fatal shooting, possibly self-inflicted, of a Kansas City firefighter at 34th and the Paseo, near a fire station. A resident of the area heard a gunshot, looked outside and saw the body between Kansas City Fire Station 17 and a residence to the south, police said.

Fire Chief: Convicted arsonists working for Illinois fire department are not a threat

Man reportedly stabs himself in neck, breaks Vancouver Fire Station 2 window

A man was hospitalized Wednesday night after he reportedly stabbed himself in the neck and broke a window at Vancouver Fire Station 2 in west Vancouver, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian. Officers were sent around 7:30 p.m. to a call about a disturbance with a knife at the station, 400 E.
