Man stranded in car in moving water rescued in Snohomish

Firefighters rescued a man who became trapped inside his car when he drove down a flooded road that was closed. At 7:49 a.m. Thursday, Snohomish County Fire District 7 firefighters were called to a water rescue at the crossroads of Connelly Road and Elliott Road in Snohomish. Crews found a man stranded in his car in moving water.

Nile Fire Department Evacuates Homes After Extreme Flooding From the Naches River

(VIDEO) Governor Inslee declared a State of Emergency Wednesday after extreme flooding caused some evacuations in the Nile area and White Pass was closed due to several mudslides. In the Nile area homeowners are dealing with rushing water and damaged homes from the overflowing Naches River. "Elk Valley Lane had about 18 inches of water at its deepest, homes were surrounded, people were still asleep," Nile Fire Chief Steve Smith said about their experience evacuating homes early Wednesday morning.

Arson to blame for fires that destroyed couple's newly-built homes in Snohomish

General contractor Kelly Heath describes Wednesday's arsons at his three newly constructed homes in Snohomish as evil. "It has nothing to do with anything other than just evil," Heath said. The crackling sound and heartbreaking sight of his houses burning by 188th Street S.E. was more than Heath's body could bear.
