Sunday night, the Tahitian Inn in Pasco off of West Lewis Street in one of the rooms there. On Monday we learned the old man was smoking a cigarette near his oxygen tank which is what started the fire. When we posted the story to Facebook last night a woman commented on the post saying her husband and his cousin helped get the man out of the home and away from the flames.

Bellingham police say an arsonist may be targeting a business that serves people in need. Three mornings in a row last week someone has lit dumpsters and then a wall on fire behind the Bellingham Goodwill. Hermina Lolkena had just finished a shopping spree there when we caught up with her. She told us she got a heck of a deal.
