Lynnwood considers fire department changes

As the population of Lynnwood grows, firefighters are increasingly relying on other departments, and now city managers are trying to figure out the best way to respond. Of the nearly 50 firefighters who responded to a fire at the Camelot apartments in September, only 7 were actual Lynnwood firefighters.

Police investigate 2 new arsons in West Seattle

Police in West Seattle are investigating another pair of arsons in West Seattle, but now say it doesn't appear to be connected to six other arsons that have struck the neighborhood over the past month. The latest fires were started around 2:30 a.m. on California Avenue SW at SW Oregon Street and SW Alaska Street.
