ACAF Fire Suppression Systems Appoints Ed Bender to Western Region

ACAF® Systems-PFS Fire Suppression Group, LLC, a leading manufacturer of FM Approved, Automatic Compressed Air Foam (CAF) fire suppression systems for special hazard, flammable liquid fires, appointed Edward Bender as Sr. Field Sales Engineer, Western Region.

Ed has over 10 years of experience in municipal, Industrial Fire Protection, most recently establishing fire protection valve sales in the Western Region for a global manufacturer of fire protection and waterworks valves. In three years sales in this region grew substantially.  Prior to this position Ed worked as the nationwide industrial sales manager for a global manufacturer of industrial firefighting equipment.  Over his seven years with the firm, U.S. Sales grew an average of 18 percent annually.

Family flees for their lives as 3-alarm blaze engulfs Bellevue home

A quick-thinking teen helped his family escape as a fast-moving fire engulfed their home in Bellevue overnight. The three-alarm blaze threatened several other homes just a few feet away, but firefighters arrived just in time to prevent the flames from spreading to them. Fire investigators are now at the home, near the intersection of 153rd and NE 3rd Street to figure out what sparked the raging fire.

Memorial service set Saturday in Port Angeles for former Clallam County Fire District No. 2 chief

A memorial for Jon Carlson Bugher, former Clallam County Fire District No. 2 fire chief, is scheduled for Saturday. Bugher died Jan. 6 at his home in Port Angeles at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer. He was interred last Saturday in a private ceremony at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen. A memorial will be held at 10 a.
