Photo captures touching moment between firefighter, victim in Seattle's Aurora Bridge crash

A local photographer who rushed to the scene of a deadly accident on Seattle’s Aurora Bridge said he was looking for any sign of hope or humanity among the carnage. Minutes earlier, a “Ride the Ducks” vehicle collided with a tour bus, leaving four people dead and dozens more injured. A fifth person died days later.

Pasco Doesn't Have Enough Firefighters and It May Cost Them Big

Pasco has been expanding rapidly and is annexing the “doughnut hole” so naturally it has had trouble growing its fire services to keep pace. This could end up costing taxpayers big. Municipal insurance providers give Richland a Class 4 rating, which means they get a good price for their premiums. Kennewick and West Richland are a Class 4.

Deadly fiery motorcycle crash triggers northbound I-5 gridlock in Seattle

Motorists are stuck in a miles-long backup on Interstate 5 Tuesday morning after a woman on a motorcycle was killed in a fiery, high-speed crash. Police, firefighters and medics responded to the scene, the northbound lanes of I-5 just south of the Highway 520 exit, just before 5:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a motorcycle crashing in a fireball.
