Law enforcement is investigating an SUV fire that burned the body inside, just behind a Richland neighborhood. There is not a lot of information at this time. Shortly after 1 p.m. neighbors in the area near of Rand Drive called and reported an SUV on fire and that a body may be inside. When firefighters got to the scene, they discovered there in fact was a body burned inside as a result of that fire.

The city of Yakima and the county have worked out a mass notification system where they'd be able to text or email people in emergencies. It would work with people signing up and also through cell phone towers.
