Spokane Police shot and killed one person while assisting the Spokane Fire Department with a house fire Sunday night. SPD says it happened just before 10:00 p.m. near the corner of West Dean Ave. and North Oak St. According to SPD, a neighbor called 911 to report that a fire broke out at a home. The caller also said they heard someone screaming.

VIDEO: A man has been taken into custody after a massive fire that destroyed a house in Hamilton Township on Friday afternoon. One person is in custody and at least one is displaced after an apartment fire in Spokane Saturday night. According to the Spokane Fire Department, crews responded to East 7th Avenue and South Helena Street for reports of a fire. SFD said the fire spread from the garage to the apartment complex.
