The search continues for two men who investigators believe could be responsible for multiple brush fires that started along Interstate 5 Tuesday afternoon.
WSDOT cameras captured images as brush fires started one by one along I-5. At least nine fires started within a couple of hours, and it didn’t take investigators long to notice something strange.

Another big challenge for firefighters in Wenatchee is a smoldering industrial fire, right in the middle of town.
They're concerned possibly-hazardous materials may have burned, but on Tuesday the melted structures were so hot, firefighters weren't able to take a close look.
"It was the scariest thing I think I've ever seen in my life," said Kari Erickson, who runs Wenatchee School of Karate, right down the street from the industrial fire.

During a press conference Tuesday morning, fire officials in Wenatchee said they expect containment of the Sleepy Hollow Fire to increase dramatically by Tuesday night.
Firefighters are mopping up hot spots and clearing away any dry fuels that might reignite the fire. So far, the fire has destroyed 24 homes and 4,000 people remain under level 2 evacuations.

A semi truck caught fire on Interstate 5 south of Olympia near the Scatter Creek rest stop overnight and continued burning for hours, the Washington State Patrol reports.
State troopers monitored the UPS truck as its 19,000 pounds of cargo burned, creating a huge plume of smoke.

A pilot and passenger were injured Monday night when their small plane crashed into a tree on Whidbey Island.
The Cessna 182, which took off from Monroe, lost power at about 8:12 p.m and slammed into a tree behind a home on the island, according to Ed Wallace with the Island County sheriff's office.

From just across the Wenatchee River, Dominick Bonny watched a whole neighborhood in his town burn as a wildfire destroyed two dozen homes and forced hundreds to flee.
"With the wind blowing away from us, it was like we were watching a natural disaster within arm's reach," he said.
The Sleepy Hollow wildfire fueled by triple-digit temperatures and strong winds roared into town Sunday afternoon.

The Spokane Fire Department said Monday that two separate attic fires caused by electrical malfunctions damaged homes in Spokane Sunday evening.
The first fire was reported just before 6:30 p.m. on Illinois Ave and Smith St. and when fire crews arrived, they found that the blaze was caused by electrical problems in the attic.
