Video: Lisbon (MD) Volunteer Fire Company’s New Station

See the Lisbon (MD) Volunteer Fire Company’s new fully operational station.

The 15,000-square-foot facility, which replaces a firehouse built in 1959, has larger apparatus bays; a bunkroom that can accommodate up to 18 crew members; and a social hall will be built adjacent to it in the future.

The company purchased the eight-acre lot in 2011, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this September.

See Progress on Seymour (IN) Fire Department’s Future Station

The Seymour Fire Department gave an update on the progress of its new station, the completion of which is still expected by the end of this year.

FA reported in mid-November that the department broke ground on the $5.75 million replacement Station 2 at 1019 W. Second St.

Replacing the station, built in 1967 at 500 W. Fifth St., has been in the works for about a decade. In 2019, the new facility received the green light.
