Miami-Dade (FL) Fire Rescue Apparatus Crashes

A Miami-Dade (FL) Fire Rescue truck crashed in the southwest part of the city Thursday afternoon, reports wsvn.com.

Police officials say the apparatus struck an SUV around 3:10 and then ran into a bus stop near Southwest 160th Street and the Busway along US-1.

The front of the truck sustained damage, the report says, and a firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

It’s unknown if the crew was responding to a call at the time of impact.

Monroeville (AL) Firefighters Respond to Flood in Their Own Firehouse

The East Claiborne Street fire station in downtown Monroeville (AL) flooded Thursday after heavy rain and storms hit parts of the state.

Footage released by the Monroeville Fire Department shows the damage as firefighters and engines are surrounded by floodwater. Flood warnings remained in effect Friday.

North Branch (NJ) Volunteer Fire Company Takes Delivery of New Engine

For the first time in 20 years, the North Branch (NJ) Volunteer Fire Company has a new engine.

Engine 49-8, a 2021 Seagrave, holds 750 gallons of water and pumps 2,000 gallons per minute.

“She’s currently in our firehouse and will be making her first call run in the coming days!” the department writes on Facebook.
