Lake McMurray (WA) Fire Department’s Station Robbed, Vandalized

The Lake McMurray (WA) Fire Department (Skagit Valley Fire Department 15) says that over the weekend at least three people broke into its station, stole tools, and left the facility damaged.

However, there’s one bright side: The incident was caught on tape.

Small Fire at Toledo (OH) Fire & Rescue Department’s Station 18

The Toledo (OH) Fire & Rescue Department is investigating a small fire in a utility storage room at the back of its Station 18 early Wednesday morning, reports wtol.com.

Crews at the facility, located on Lewis Avenue, were able to quickly extinguish flames in the room, which houses communication equipment and electrical components, according to the report.

As of now, firefighters cannot occupy the station due to smoke damage affecting the locker rooms, bathrooms, showers, and dorm. Officials note that, despite this, crews will remain in service at other stations, and the district will continue to be protected.

The fire appears to have been accidental, but authorities are still investigating.

Lincoln County (GA) Emergency Services Department Purchases New Engine, Ambulance

A $100,000 grant and a $264,000 loan from the USDA has helped the Lincoln County (GA) Emergency Services Department purchase a new ambulance and fire truck, reports wjbf.com.

The engine replaced a 20-year-old apparatus and comes with updated equipment and safety enhancements, the report says.
