Potter County (TX) Officials Approve Four Apparatus Purchase

Officials with the Potter County Commissioners’ Court approved the purchase of four fire trucks, reports Amarillo Globe News.

Three Rosenbauer Brush Fighter Fire Trucks from Daco Fire Equipment were approved for $940,549. After one of the county’s trucks was involved in an accident earlier this month, the county brought another item up for approval.

The plan is for the county to replace the truck with a Ford F-550 for $110,000, a vehicle comparable to the one which was damaged.

Hialeah (FL) Fire Station Dedicated to Chief Engineer

The Hialeah Fire Department dedicated a fire station in honor of Chief Engineer James “Mikey” Miller, reports CBS Miami.

Miller died from cancer in February after 39 years of service.
