The Wellsville (OH) Fire Department recently received a pair of apparatus—an E-One rescue pumper and a 75-foot ladder truck—ordered in November from Advantech Service, reports morningjournalnews.com.

The 2020 ladder cost $798,740 while the pumper was $225,000 and was paid for with some of the revenue generated by a fire levy that had been renewed to replace outdated equipment.

Wellsville will pay just more than $1 million over 15 years to lease the equipment at a 3.17% interest with annual payments. At the conclusion of the payoff, the village will own the apparatus.

Davenport (IA) announced plans for the relocation of its Station 3.

The city last year in preparation acquired the former Chi Chi’s lot near NorthPark Mall, which is currently located at 3506 North Harrison Street.

The move aims to provide a quicker response time to the north-central region of Davenport, officials say.

Davenport still has open a request for qualifications for design/architectural and engineering services for the future station.

The Fairfax County (VA) Fire and Rescue Department recently settled into its new home at Station 24 in Woodlawn.

Engine 424 was the first apparatus to pull into the new digs. Around 4:18 p.m. yesterday, the engine responded to its first call out of the new station.
