Coxreels® Introduces the New Brawny Option for the 100 Series Reels

Coxreels Brawny Option

Coxreels is proud to announce the new Brawny option available for most 100 Series hose reels. The 100 Series reel can be mounted to a floor, wall, ceiling, bench, or truck and is made of steel for strength and durability with a U-shaped frame for 2-point axle support to provide stability during operation. It has a brake assembly for braking or for locking the drum to a desired length of hose.

The new Brawny feature is an added option that adds strength to the drum, minimizing potential damage under increased or pulsing pressure usage. By adding the additional strength to the drum, these professional grade reels are better prepared to tackle the toughest jobs in the industry.

To order the brawny upgrade, simply add prefix "BX" to standard 100 Series reels. The Brawny option is available for the 8”, 12.5”, and 18” drum widths.

Coxreels® has remained steadfast and focused on manufacturing high quality professional grade hose, cord, and cable reels since 1923. Offering a full product line serving the industry in every channel and application, Coxreels® takes great pride in designing, building, and supporting all of their products right here in the U.S.A.

Madison (WI) Celebrates Grand Opening of Newest Fire Station

Celebrating Fire Station 14: Madison's newest station to hold grand opening Friday

MADISON, Wis. - It's been almost one year to the day since crews broke ground on Fire Station 14, Madison's newest facility. Now, the station is preparing for its first celebration. Friday, Feb. 15, Fire Chief Steve Davis, Mayor Paul Soglin, District 16 Alder Michael Tierney, and former District 16 Alder Denise DeMarb will attend the official grand opening of Station 14 on the city's southeast side.

Madison's newest and biggest fire station to open today

In the case of an emergency, seconds matter. For years, people living on Madison's southeast side had to wait between 10 to 15 minutes for emergency crews to respond. That response time will be cut drastically starting today, with the official opening of Fire Station 14.

Fire Station 14 Is City's Largest

Tomorrow, the city of Madison, Wisconsin, will celebrate the grand opening of the department's biggest fire station, Station 14, which serves southeastern Madison.

According to a report on channel3000.com, residents in that area used to have to wait from 10-15 minutes for crews to arrive in case of an emergency. Now crews are to respond to calls in southeastern Madison and Blooming Grove in five minutes or less.

The station will also reportedly double as a training facility, with plans to move the next training recruit academy there. Station 14 also features special washing and drying machines for gear as well as a detox sauna.
