Brookfield (CT) Retires Fire Apparatus

 
 
The last fire truck BVFC sold ended up with a second career as the Fire Engine Pizza Co. in Bridgeport. The current truck being sold is a 1985 E-One Hurricane Pumper with a canopy cab that seats 5. The asking price is $15,000 and the mileage is a low 26,550.

Rosenbauer Hot Dip Galvanizing Process

Rosenbauer offers corrosion resistance using a hot dip galvanizing process. Each aerial section is individually cleaned then submerged in molten zinc, protecting the aerial from the inside out.

Providence (RI) Gets New Ladder Fire Apparatus

 
 

The new ladder and rescue trucks will be stationed at Ladder 6 station on Atwells Avenue. The safety equipment upgrade was needed, according to city officials.  

"It is critical that our firefighters have access to modern equipment and tools that help them to do their life-saving work effectively," said Mayor Jorge Elorza.

Elorza said the station responds to more than 1,800 calls, mainly in the West End neighborhood and in parts of the North End and South Side neighborhoods each year.
