Student Artists Create Mural for Endwell (NY) Fire Station

A student-painted red and blue mural commemorating the Maine-Endwell Little League Baseball's World Series Champions has added color to the district's middle school white walls. Painted in 2017, this mural sits alongside a burnt orange mural painted the year before, displaying the inspiring message "Life is about using the whole box of crayons."

Teen Non-Licensed Driver Crashes into St. Louis Fire Apparatus

Authorities helped free two juveniles who were trapped in a car after it hit a fire truck Tuesday morning. Police say the youths suffered minor injuries. After the juveniles were freed and the 16-year-old driver's mother arrived, he was issued tickets for driving without a license, not having insurance and failure to yield.

Aurora (IL) to Host Opening Celebration for New Fire Station

Aurora firefighters will hold a two-day celebration starting Friday to mark the opening of the city's new $4 million station. Johns Creek (GA) Puts New Fire Engine Into Service

The Johns Creek Fire Department recently unveiled its newest piece of equipment - a 32-foot-long custom Pierce Enforcer Pumper - at Station No. 61, 10265 Medlock Bridge Parkway. The $563,656 engine was inducted in a "push in" ceremony Feb. 15.

The new engine replaces a 10-year-old unit at Station 61, to be added to the reserve fleet. Typically, engines are replaced and put in reserve every 10 years or 100,000 miles. The department currently operates three frontline engines and one reserve.
