Mapleton (IA) Ambulance Service Purchases New Equipment

The Mapleton Ambulance Service recently purchased new equipment to help them better serve the residents in the communities they serve. These items have been purchased with the help of grants, donations from fundraising events hosted by the ambulance crew, like their breakfast on the Fourth of July and Halloween Bingo, and township trustees.
The biggest addition to the ambulance is the new Stryker Power Cot. The cost of the power cot was $15,510.12. A majority of the power cot cost was funded by a grant from the Monona County Community Partners Foundation in the amount of $9,412.70.

The Mapleton Ambulance also received a $2,000 Working Here Fund grant provided through Farm Credit Service of American. The ambulance paid for the final $4,907.42 of the cost with the fundraising efforts.
