VIDEO: A New York City artist wanted to thank the men and women who saved his life in the best way he knew how -- with a work of art.
Ray Trosa is a New York native hailing from Astoria, Queens whose mixed-media art style spans from large-scale paintings to lighting design.
Back in April 2022, Trosa suffered a medical emergency and when members from FDNY Station 49 arrived, his condition worsened and he went into cardiac arrest.

Firefighters responded to a commercial fire in the South Lake Union neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
The fire began at a one-story building in the 1100 block of Harrison Street, according to the Seattle Fire Department, which first tweeted about the fire at 3:16 a.m.

Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to 88 calls for service and made four arrests in areas under evacuation notices during the height of the Nakia Creek Fire, the sheriff’s office reports.
Between Oct. 16 and Oct. 21, 31 patrol personnel and two commanders worked additional voluntary hours in the evacuation area, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

More than a week after fire destroyed the Wilbur Ellis fertilizer plant outside Moses Lake, health officials are still advising people to stay away from the area.
In a health advisory Monday, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said cleanup crews remain on the site about three miles southeast of Moses Lake extinguishing and removing smoldering debris.

VIDEO: A car crash in Issaquah sent four people to the hospital late on Monday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, two cars were racing on Highlands Drive Northeast at Discovery Drive around 11:18 p.m. They failed to stop at a red light as a third driver was turning left on a green signal.
