The Sallisaw Fire Department posted photos on Facebook of its newest pumper on September 3.

The post said this: “SFD is proud and excited to add this new pumper to our fleet!” The new addition is an e-ONE Fire Trucks custom pumper.

Hardin County (TX) Breaks Ground on New Fire Station

Hardin County held a ground breaking ceremony Tuesday for a new fire station, KFDM.com reported.

First responders, including firefighters, ambulance workers and elected officials, attended the ground breaking for the new fire station off FM 92 near FM 4-18 in north Silsbee (TX), the report said.

A fire official said the new building and new equipment will improve fire protection and should help decrease insurance costs because of that added protection. The station will also now be able to serve a larger population.

Mineral & Gold (IL) Fire Department Holds Explosive Ground Breaking Ceremony

The Mineral-Gold Fire Department held an explosive ground breaking ceremony on September 10 to launch the construction of its new fire station, more than 75 years after the construction of its current building, ShawLocal.com reported.

The construction of the new station, which will be located down the street of the current building at 227 Main Street in Mineral, has been a work in progress for many years, the report said.

After years of behind the scenes work of planning, the community can now expect to see progress being made on the new building. The department hopes to have the new building erected by the beginning of the new year, the report said.

Beaumont (CA) Breaks Ground on New $10 Million Fire Station for West Side

Groundbreaking on a new fire station for Beaumont’s west side got underway Tuesday, and, once open, the new facility is expected to improve response times for nearby communities, including Olivewood, Tournament Hills and Tukwet, Patch.com reported.

Fire Station No. 106, also known as the West Side Fire Station, will cost approximately $10 million to build and will be located on the eastern side of Potrero Boulevard, north of state Route 60. Construction is set to begin in a few weeks and the 10,000-square-foot facility on 1.59 acres is expected to take a year to complete, according to the city.

The station will provide firefighting services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Beaumont contracts for fire services through Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. Staffing at the new station will include three to four personnel, including a paramedic, according to the city.
