PHOTOS: Crews worked all night to put out the hot spots of a massive junkyard fire in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia.
The three-alarm fire broke out around 6 p.m. Tuesday at Sedgley and Erie avenues, sending a black plume of smoke into the sky.
Multiple vehicles and tires were ablaze inside the junkyard, officials said.

VIDEO: Two of the three firefighters critically injured in an apartment gas explosion in Southeast Oak Cliff returned to work on Tuesday.
They managed to make the return two days before the one-year anniversary of the explosion. One year ago on Thursday, Cpt. Christopher Gadomski, Ron Hall and Pauline Perez were investigating a gas leak at Highland Hills Apartments in Southeast Oak Cliff.

PHOTOS: Grays Harbor Fire District 1 Station 2 has been temporarily put out of service after $90,000 in lifesaving equipment was stolen Tuesday morning.
Police were called at 6 a.m. to the fire station located at 1880 South Bank Road for an overnight burglary.
Officials said thieves stole equipment such as defibrillators, jaws of life, radios and more from a tender, fire engine, and an ambulance.

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Chuck Stenger loved being a firefighter in New Albany. But after serving for more than 30 years, his career was cut short by his knee.
“Started noticing trouble with climbing a ladder, went to an orthopedic doc and was getting shots of cortisone," Stenger said.
One day, the pain was so bad Stenger said he fell over while helping a patient.
