Warehouse fire burns twice overnight in Northeast Spokane

VIDEO: Crews responded to a warehouse fire that sparked up twice overnight near Northeast Spokane. Spokane Fire District 9 says they responded to the initial fire around 10 p.m. on Sept. 25 and when they arrived, the fire was small and was able to be completely put out. Then, at 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 26 they responded to another call for a fire in the same location.

Evacuations updated as winds continue to spread Bolt Creek Fire

Changing weather patterns have increased the threat of the Bolt Creek Fire, causing a series of new evacuations as officials say the fire could get more volatile rapidly due to heat and dry conditions. The fire, which has been burning since Sept. 10, has gone from 96% contained down to just 7% contained.

Peoria (IL) Fire Truck Stolen at Crash Scene

A Peoria (IL) Fire Department fire engine was stolen while firefighters worked at a crash scene on Saturday, according to a report published by CIProud.com.

According to the report, the suspect walked up to the engine and drove off with it. It was recovered shortly later with no damage and nothing missing and the suspect was taken into custody, according to the report.

Runaway Fire Truck in San Francisco Damages Cars, Trees and Signs

A runaway fire truck caused significant damage to cars, trees and signs in San Francisco’s Noe Valley] neighborhood, according to a report published by San Francisco Chronicle.

According to the report, the air brake on a  fire truck became dislodged and rolled away from the fire station at Hoffman and Alvarado streets during a morning check. The truck rolled a half a block damaging six cars which then damaged street signs and trees. No injuries were reported.

Spokane crews respond to house fire near Franklin Park

Crews from the Spokane Fire Department put out a house fire burning near Franklin Park. The fire was burning off North Howard Street and West Wabash Avenue inside the garage of a home on Saturday. When arriving to the home, firefighters saw smoke and fire coming from the home. Crews confirmed with the homeowner that no one was inside the garage.
