A crash at a busy intersection in downtown Seattle ended with a car plowing through an array of construction scaffolding, appearing to barely miss a nearby building.
Cars passing underneath the Seattle Center Monorail were able to get through Fifth Avenue and Stewart Street Monday morning. But the leftmost lane, already blocked off for construction, became the scene of a pile of twisted wood and metal following a crash the night before.

A fire at a Vancouver duplex and arcing power lines outside the home prompted response from emergency crews Friday evening, according to the Vancouver Fire Department.
Just after 10:30 p.m., crews were dispatched to a reported house fire at 3508 X Street. The fire was related to the dangerous electrical discharge from the powerlines outside the house, so Clark Public Utilities were also called to assist, officials say.

VIDEO: Police are investigating after a car crashed into a building in Downtown Seattle on Monday morning.
The crash happened at the Times Square Building near the corner of 5th Ave. and Stewart St.
According to the Seattle Fire Department (SFD), the crash involved two cars. One of the drivers, a 47-year-old man, was treated at the scene and is in stable condition.
