Township in Michigan dedicates new firehouse

VIDEO: Alpine Township firefighters have “officially” moved into their new home. While they’ve been operating out of the new Station One since May, the facility was dedicated on Friday. Located on Henze Drive, behind the Alpine Avenue Sam’s Club, the $3 million firehouse replaces cramped quarters and gives the department room to grow.

These Are the Five States With No Known Monkeypox Cases

Fire crews spent weeks designing unique chips that tell the story of each of the four fire stations and training center in the City of Pasco. This week, Pasco Fire's Ben Shearer unveiled Station 81's chip.

As heat wave begins, Seattle Fire among agencies urging caution on water

More people will be getting into the water to cool off this week, and the Seattle Fire Department is among the agencies urging everyone to keep safety in mind. On Monday, Fiorella Rietti and her family, visiting from Portland, made the East Green Lake Beach a vacation destination. When they arrived, the sun was shining, and temperatures were in the 80s.

Update: Man facing charges after carjacking, standoff and fire that gutted Bremerton home

An alleged armed robbery and standoff inside a Kitsap County home ended with a fire that gutted a home Sunday night, authorities said. David A. Knox, 33, was facing several charges in connection with the weekend incident, including second-degree murder, second-degree assault and first-degree robbery, according to the affidavit.
