It’s rare for an electric bus to burst into flames in the way a state-operated one did last month at a Hamden bus depot, but the same can’t be said for all electric vehicles, according to industry experts.
And the National Transportation Safety Board, a federal agency that investigates significant transportation accidents, has joined the efforts to determine the exact cause of the fire.

VIDEO: Larry Broderson whose born and raised in the Valley has devoted most of his life to giving back to the community and this year is no different.
He's planning on personally delivering 92 cases of water and hundreds of dollars worth of snacks to the Nile-Cliffdell Fire Department.
Today he tells me, this makes his life worth living.

He spends his summers in a glass house perched thousands of feet above some of the most scenic wilderness in the world. He has a 360-degree view of spectacular sunrises and sunsets, and a front-row seat to lightning-storm shows like no other.
A short walk from his door he can see and hear bears and other wild animals, yet he is protected from wildlife and the elements in his cozy, tiny house.

According to the Walla Walla County Sheriffs Office a wheat field caught fire Friday afternoon just North of Walla Walla Washington near Valley Grove Road. The fire department and law enforcement were quickly on the scene working to contain the fire and warning people to avoid the area.
The fire looked to be spreading across the wheat and stubble fields towards the Eritage Resort however firefighters were able to stop the blaze before it reached the business.
