Man Breaks into Westborough (MA) Fire Station, Gets Arrested, Faces Four Charges

Early Monday morning, Northborough man Kevin Tupper was arrested and is facing four charges after he broke glass doors at the Westborough Fire Station and pointed an unknown object at personnel, among other shenanigans.

His charges include defacing/damaging property, breaking and entering a building in the nighttime with an intent to commit a felony, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, and receiving stolen property.

The incident, which happened around 3:20 a.m., also saw Tupper break into a firefighter’s vehicle and steal belongings.

Maintenance Issues Close Mobile (AL) Fire-Rescue Department’s Douglas A. Melton Station

The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department’s Douglas A. Melton Station will be closed for a bit while the city removes asbestos, mold, and makes other repairs.

After tiles in the station, located at 57 S. Lafayette St., tested positive for asbestos, crews and their gear were immediately removed and will be strategically relocated.

“MFRD’s responsibilities are to its personnel and to the citizens and visitors of Mobile,” a Facebook post reads. “We do not anticipate any impact on the service provided to the citizens who depend on Station 8 and its members. The City of Mobile and MFRD is committed to the health and safety of every employee and the public services provided to members of our community. We will provide more details about the timeline for Station 8’s closure once more information is available.”

Sun City (AZ) Firefighter Dies at Station

The Sun City Fire and Medical Department has announced that 36-year-old Firefighter Shane Godbehere died on Saturday while on duty.

Godbehere was a 15-year veteran of the department. He passed away while working at Fire Station 131, the department said via Facebook.
