2 injured after small plane crashes on Bothell roadway

VIDEO: A small aircraft crashed on a roadway in Bothell late Tuesday night, according to Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue. The crash was reported around 10:20 p.m. on 228th Street, just south of 45th Avenue near Canyon Park. Two people were sent to the hospital and their conditions are unknown. There was also a dog on board.

One person dead after fire erupts at Renton senior apartment complex

Firefighters were able to take down a two-alarm apartment fire at a senior living apartment complex but not before someone died. The fire started Tuesday evening around 9 pm at the Spencer Court Apartments in the 300 block of Wells Avenue S. The Renton Fire Department said there was reports of one patient possibly jumping from the third floor, where the smoke is pouring out.

DNR estimates Stayman Flats wildfire burned 1,200 acres of land near Chelan so far

About 1,200 acres of land are scorched in a community southwest of Chelan as firefighters work to contain the Stayman Flats wildfire. Washington State Department of Natural Resources said the fire was 30% contained as of Tuesday afternoon. Flames have yet to consume any buildings, and firefighters say that’s due in part to the aggressive attack on the fire.

VIDEO: Car fire on SR 520 floating bridge blocks traffic

A car fire has blocked all lanes of the SR 520 floating bridge Wednesday morning. As of 10:30 a.m., vehicles are getting by in one of the lanes. The Washington State Department of Transportation urges drivers to "use caution in this area and expect delays."

Crane Township, Cecil (OH) Puts New Pumper in Service

The Crane Township and Cecil (OH) Fire Department recently put a new pumper in service after raising taxes for the past three years, according to a report published by The West Bend News.

The new apparatus was built by Pierce Manufacturing on a Freightliner cab and chassis at a cost of $423,000, according to the newspaper, that also reported the truck is equipped with a 1,250-gpm pump, a 1,000-gallon tank and a Husky foam system. The truck was built in Bradenton, FL, and features slide-outs in compartments for tools, the paper says.
