A holiday fire call turned dangerous Monday night with first responders dodging bullets after Lauderhill Fire Rescue crews arrived to the scene of a house fire that was possibly started by fireworks.

Fire crews say a 5-year-old boy was critically injured after falling from a second-story window at home on Saturday.
Marysville Fire District firefighters treated the child at the home before paramedics from Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue took him to the hospital.
According to the fire district, there were 22 documented window falls in Snohomish County in 2021.

Firefighters from Yakima and Benton Counties are working to contain a fire of at least 3,200 acres.
Fire crews say the Byron Hill fire is currently 25% contained.
The brushfire is burning between Mabton and Prosser.
Yakima County Fire District 5 says the fire is burning in areas difficult to access by vehicle, making the job of fire crews tougher.

The bodies of two construction workers who were killed in a trench collapse at a Shoreline home earlier this week have been recovered.
On Monday afternoon the two workers, a man in his 30s and one in his 60s, were working in a trench on a sewer line when the ground collapsed. Fire crews told FOX 13 that there were people at the scene trying to dig the men out.
