Fire officials confirm the Byron Hill Fire burning in Yakima and Benton counties is now 90% contained. According to fire crews small pockets are still burning within the fire that has blackened much of the hill. Crews aren't sure of the exact amount burned but estimate it is between 2,000-4,000 acres.

It's a sweet reaction to a sour situation Shubert Ho found himself in three years ago. He set up lemonade stands to give back to his community this Fourth of July. "What is more American than a lemonade stand?" Ho asked. Ho runs several restaurants in Edmonds, including Bar Dojo. In 2019, a shed behind the business caught fire with gasoline inside.

An Antioch Fire Department apparatus was severely damaged early Thursday morning after it ran into a downed tree in Blacksburg, reports wspa.com.

SC Highway Patrol crews responded to the accident—on Antioch Road near Hambright Road—around 5:20 a.m. Officials say the department was responding to a downed tree—which wound up being the culprit of the crash.

Officials closed Antioch Road to remove the fire truck from the tree, the report says. It took until about 8 a.m. to finish the job.

The firefighter in the truck was able to exit safely, and no injuries were reported.
