Reports are surfacing that the Nashville Fire Department is sending firefighters to respond to calls with broken apparatus and equipment.
Nashville’s Firefighters Union officials say the April 24 fire at the Polo Park Apartments in Donelson is one time during which the second responding apparatus didn’t have a working pump, reports FOX17.
Residents near that April 24 fire say it took first responders extra time to fight the fire. However, department records show the pumper was working, the report says.
The Nashville Fire Department says it anticipates receiving several new apparatus of the fire and EMS variety, and has even taken delivery of three fire trucks which are in the process of final completion, according to the report.
