The Enforcer 60 CAF Unit, Another Option for Your Brush Unit

By Bill Adkins

One option to get the most out of your brush unit is to utilize the Enforcer 60 skid unit. When building a brush truck we tend to want it to remain light due to the distinct possibility of going off road. We also want the ability to make the most impact without needing to return to refill. Refilling times allows the fire to continue to grow.

In an earlier article I mentioned Peebles Fire Department and its Razor side-by-side field unit. Razor 15 utilized the Enforcer 10 unit instead of using the traditional water tank. The Enforcer 10 allows the razor to stay lightweight by only using 10 gallons of liquid to produce up to 200 gallons of finished foam. Peebles Fire Department has been extremely happy with the performance of the Enforcer 10.

Virginia fire department teams with a research university to help overcome language barriers

Responding to a fire or medical emergency often results in tense moments for firefighters as well as anyone who has called 911 for help if there is a language barrier. The situation can become overwhelming and scary for anyone who doesn’t understand what is going on and can’t provide information. That’s the type of scenario that Richmond Fire Department Battalion Chief Bailey Martin hopes to rectify by getting help from the Virginia Commonwealth University Community Action Council and council member Anita Nadal, an assistant professor in the VCU School of World Studies and faculty fellow for community engagement in the College of Humanities and Sciences.
