An odd find of an antique first-aid kit triggered a Hazmat response in Bexley, and three other antique resellers around the country called emergency services after finding the same material, a local couple says.
Kate Sanfilippo, a Bexley resident who sells handmade and vintage items as pickleladyfarm and PickleladyVintage on Etsy, picked up a 1933 Boy Scouts Johnson & Johnson first-aid kit Friday from a local estate sale.

The Black Canyon Fire burning in central Washington has charred an estimated 4,500 acres, and some residents are evacuating for safety.
At around 8 a.m., the Washington State DNR announced that the Black Canyon Fire burning about 10 miles northwest of Naches, Washington, had grown to an estimated 4,500 acres – an increase of 3,500 acres since the DNR's 9 p.

PHOTOS: The Spokane Fire Department (SFD) and Spokane County Fire District 9 responded to several fires last week during the record-setting heat.
According to SFD, on July 18 around 5:30 p.m., firefighters received multiple calls about a house fire in the area of North Majorie Street in the Pacific Park neighborhood.

Crews are investigating after a residential building caught fire in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood on Monday morning.
According to the Seattle Fire Department (SFD), at around 4:30 a.m., crews responded to reports of a fire near the corner of 1st. Ave. and Battery St. Firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished a fire on the exterior of the building.
