Ocean City-Wright (FL) Puts Engine 1 in Service

Ocean City-Wright firefighters recently held a push-in ceremony for its new Engine 1 and put the apparatus in service.

Marquette County (MI) to Purchase $621k Rescue Truck

Marquette County is set to purchase a new $621,201.52 emergency vehicle.

The apparatus is a 2023 Pierce Rescue 131 and will be used to support fire calls, accidents, and search and rescue missions. It can also refill air packs.

It will replace a truck that has been in service for about 30 years. It will take about two years for it to be put into service.

Springfield (IL) Fire Department Donates Fire Truck

The Springfield Fire Department Tuesday donated a fire truck to local vocational school Capital Area Career Center, reports newschannel20.com.

The 1994 Luverne is unable to respond to calls, so now it’ll be used as a teaching tool.

Officials consider the donation a win-win. And it’s not the first time Springfield has been generous with its apparatus:

Update: Woman arrested for arson in connection to brush fire near Ephrata

An Ephrata woman has been identified as the suspect in a Tuesday evening arson fire near Ephrata. Ephrata police have identified the suspect as 32-year-old Clintah Hernandez. Witnesses reported seeing the woman light brush on fire near state Route 282 and Airport Road. Police reportedly found several lighters and a torch lighter on Hernandez.

For $20k You Could Own Shawnee County (KS) Fire District 4’s 1998 Rescue Truck

Shawnee County Fire District 4 is selling for $20,000 its 1998 Ford F-350 XL Diesel Power Stroke 4WD Medium Duty Rescue Truck with a Central States 13-foot Rescue body.

The vehicle has tallied 22,379 miles but is still in working condition, the district says.

It comes equipped with an onboard Generac 7.2 kw single-phase diesel generator with 100-foot power cord reel and front and rear telescope scene lights.
