New Jersey fire company makes history after all female crew on shift

A South Jersey fire company made history Saturday after every crew member on call for a shift was a woman. According to the volunteers at Union Fire Company, a branch of the Deptford Fire Department, having several females on call at once is normal. "It's for everybody. You don't need to be a male to do this field.

VIDEO: Crews able to extinguish fire at abandoned SeaTac house

Fire crews put out a house fire at an abandoned home in SeaTac on Monday morning. Around 4 a.m., crews showed up to the home in the 14400 block of Military Road South, where it took about 35 minutes to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.

Spokane Valley home destroyed in fire, displaces family of 4

A double-wide mobile home on 3rd Ave. caught fire on Sunday, March 27 just after 1 p.m., displacing a family of four. Spokane Valley Fire Department was quick to send crews to the scene and saw the front of the house engulfed in flames, though it was unclear whether the flames had originated outside and were moving in or vice versa.

No injures in boat fire on Seattle's Lake Union

The Seattle Fire Department said there were no injuries in a large boat fire that broke out early Saturday morning in South Lake Union. The Seattle Fire Department said a 45-foot boat went up in flames in the 800 block of Fairview Place N, just before 4 a.m. Firefighters contained the fire and it did not spread to any other boats docked nearby.
