Ground was broken Tuesday for the Riviera Beach (FL) Fire Department’s $17 million Station 88, which will be located at 1920 W. Blue Heron Blvd.
The facility will be a two-story, 31,000-square-foot, cutting-edge station that features new technology and equipment.
“City Council approved Resolution 01-22, which makes available $20 million to facilitate the commencement of construction on Fire Station 88,” the city’s website says. “Construction activities will commence in early March of 2022 and take approximately 14 months.”
