Gulf Shores city council will consider a new fire training facility, a project estimated to cost $420,000, reports mynbc15.com.
The facility would include Live Fire Training, Combat Training Tower, Confined Space Training Building, Trench Rescue Apparatus, and an outdoor classroom area, according to the report.
Included in the discussion is a $69,000 contract for design services for the facility, to be built off West 36th Avenue, west of Highway 59. The department’s previous facility was recently demolished, the report says.
If approved, the project would be mostly complete by the end of 2022.
