Colorado firefighters dive for man's sunken dentures

It doesn't take long to see David Damron get distracted. Which may be how his teeth ended up swimming with the fish he intended to catch. "I had just finished putting my adhesive on and I don't remember what happened but somehow my dentures started to fall," Damron said. NIFC: Problem of drones over wildfires worsens

The Boise-based National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) has released a public service video urging the public not to fly drones over the scene of wildfires as a growing problem worsens. Lawyer: Former New York fire district official to take plea deal in theft of $240,000

Almost two months after his arrest for allegedly stealing nearly $240,000 from the fire district he once headed, Michael Denardo is preparing to accept a plea agreement. He's also making plans to return the money, said his lawyer, Jesse Squier, on Wednesday. "By the time of sentencing, it will be made whole," Squier said.

Consultant: California fire district's ambulance plan offers savings, but plenty of risk

A first-of-its-kind approach for providing ambulance care to many Contra Costa residents should operate in the black, a new report found, but it's unlikely to generate enough savings to significantly boost services at the cash-strapped Contra Costa Fire District.
