Person trapped climbing through parking lot wall, rescued by fire crew

A person was rescued in Yelm after trying to climb through an opening in a wall and getting stuck. S.E. Thurston Fire Authority says a person was trying to climb through the wall surrounding the Walmart parking lot in Yelm, made of interlocking stone panels. While going through the opening, the panels broke free and fell on the person’s leg, trapping them.

Seattle Deputy Fire Chief Jay Schreckengost found dead after 12 day search

The search for Seattle Deputy Fire Chief Jay Schreckengost is over after officials found him deceased in the mountains near Cliffdell. According to the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office, Schreckengost went scouting for elk on Tuesday, November 2 and did not return. Over 60 different agencies and dozens of volunteers helped search for him.

Sedro-Wooley man charged with arson at Capitol Hill nightclub

A Sedro-Woolley man accused of setting a fire outside a Capitol Hill nightclub while dozens of people were inside appeared in federal court Friday. The Department of Justice says 24-year-old Kalvinn Jay Garcia has been charged with arson in connection to a fire at Queer/Bar, a nightclub and event space in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Florida Woman, 21, Dies in Crash with Fire Truck

A motorist hit the back of a Sumter (FL) County fire truck, killing a 21-year-old Ocala woman, according to WESH 2.

The television station reported the woman was heading north on Interstate 75 at 2:53 am on Friday, Nov. 12, when the woman rear-ended the fire truck that was stopped in an outside lane due to a previous crash.

The truck had its emergency lights activated at the crash scene, according to WESH, that also reported the woman died at the scene.
