Lansing (IA) Fire Department Welcomes Fire Apparatus

Lansing Fire Department recently acquired a new rescue truck, reports The Standard Newspaper.

The fire department posted to Facebook, “We would like to thank everyone who donates to us or comes to our fundraisers! We would also like to thank our rural board, they are really good to us! Without them this truck wouldn’t have been possible! We are very excited about this upgrade! Thanks again!!”

The truck is a 2019 Chevrolet 6500 medium rescue vehicle. The truck cost roughly around $210,000. The funding was done 100 percent by the rural board. They set aside money for fire equipment to maintain and purchase new equipment whenever necessary.

The previous rescue truck was having some electrical issues, with its emergency lights not working correctly.
