Woodway donated a 1995 E-One fire truck to McLennan Community College to help develop skills of future fire cadets, reports Waco Tribune-Herald.

The truck has a 1,250 gallon-per-minute single-stage Hale pump and midship mounted pump panel. The truck is valued at $25,000.

The Woodway Public Safety Department had been looking for a new home for the truck since buying a new one in May 2020. The college program had previously been using a Waco Fire Department fire truck for the last 10 years, but the new truck was more up to date and met all the current safety standards.

Nationwide Insurance has awarded rescue tubes to Fair Grove Fire Protection District, reports KY3.

The equipment should be delivered soon, leading to training this fall. The grant is around $8,000, but because of Nationwide Insurance it will be free.

Nationwide awarded 200 fire departments across the country with the equipment and training, with at least four successful rescues since 2014.

Marion County Fire Rescue has put a ladder fire truck into service, reports WCJB 20.

The fire department posted to Facebook, “The citizens and visitors of Marion County have an extra layer of protection today and into the future. Marion County Fire Rescue placed a new E-ONE Ladder Truck in service at Belleview Station #18 this morning. “Truck Company #2” will be available to run calls throughout the south end of Marion County and beyond.

The “Push In” Ceremony is deeply rooted in tradition, back to the days of horse drawn carriage days. The crews at Station #18, MCFR Leadership and our Chairman of the Marion County Board of County Commission, Jeff Gold, were able to push the truck from the apron, to its forever home inside the bay.

Deputy Chief of Operations Robert Graff stated, ‘Alot of work has gone into budgeting, designing, outfitting and acquiring Ladder 2. Having a Truck Company, Engine Company and 2 rescues at Station 18 will enhance the services that we provide to our citizens. Marion County Fire Rescue would like to thank our citizens and the Board of County Commissioners for the trust you instill in our department.’

Station #18 has consistently been the busiest fire station within Marion County. Each year, approximately 1,000 calls are run by firefighters from different stations in the Belleview area, these are called ‘concurrent calls.’ With the addition of Ladder 2, firefighters at Station #18 will be able to run many of those concurrent calls.”

The Fishers Fire Department is expecting to break ground on construction for a fire station, reports WISHTV.com.

This will be the fire department’s seventh fire station in one of Fishers’ fastest growing areas. The new facility will be 13,600 square feet and have three drive-through apparatus bays. Ten career firefighters will work out of the station.

A fire engine and an ALS ambulance will operate out of the station.

A Kennewick woman died after crashing her GMC Envoy Tuesday afternoon on Columbia River Road. Just after 2 pm, a citizen notified Pasco Police of a gray GMC Envoy driving erratically in North Pasco. According to a press release from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office: "At 2:19 pm a one-vehicle roll-over collision was reported on Columbia River Road just northwest of Selph Landing Road.
