PHOTOS: Photos were sent of what looked like a happening at Hook & Ladder 8 last week and it sure was: the good folks at the Buffalo Ghostbusters dedicated a replacement Ghostbusters sign to the firehouse, since the nearly 40-year-old original was showing its wear and had lost a finger. But there’s more, with a pandemic silver lining bonus:
During the past year, with everything closed down, the Buffalo Ghostbusters — one of about 200 fan franchises across the country — were trying to stay active with their ectoplasmic activities while staying distant.

PHOTOS: It’s Father’s Day and a lot of fathers and sons will be celebrating. That includes Rich Langford and Ed Ferro with the Everett Fire Department. What sets these two fathers apart is they will not only celebrate Father’s Day with their sons but their sons are also their co-workers.
The Everett Fire Department has a long history of family members working together.

An early morning house fire in Vancouver Monday killed a dog and sent another to an emergency vet clinic, according to fire officials. Clark County Fire District 6 told FOX 12 that a fire ignited just before 4:30 a.m. at a home in the 600 block of Northwest 94th Avenue. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they could see flames coming from the house.

Firefighters responded to an apartment fire that left seven people injured Saturday afternoon in the 7000 block of N Colton Street.
Michael Bacon, who is the Battalion Chief and Incident Commander for the Spokane Fire Department told KREM that one person was air lifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Weather forecasts for Monday and Tuesday call for hot, dry and windy conditions, the “standard mix” for a wildfire.
Although potential for a large fire in the region is low this week, state and local agencies are gearing up for what is expected to be a busier than normal fire season, said Department of Natural Resources Pacific Cascade Region Fire Operations Manager Jeff Bortner.
