A retired firefighter from Boynton Beach is doing his part to combat the opioid crisis. Luis Garcia has traveled across the country offering free first aid classes and giving away free Narcan through his nonprofit, USA Opioid Crisis Mortality Reduction." In the last four years, he's donated more than 6,000 doses -- saving 95 lives, according to Garcia.

Snohomish County fire crews extinguished a fire at a scrap metal yard in Clearview on Sunday afternoon. People who live near or downwind of the fire were asked to close their doors and windows to avoid breathing in the smoke. Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue responded to the fire in the 18800 block of Yew Way in the morning.

Walla Walla County Fire District #5 Fire Chief, Michael Wickstrom, says they were notified about a wildland fire off Dodd Road and Highway 12 this afternoon. It was burning along the railroad tracks.
