New $6.5M Station in Ridgeway (Canada) Under Way

Fort Erie (Canada) Town Council approved last year plans to combine Stations 4 and 6, and now construction has begun on the new digs in Ridgeway (Canada) on Ridge Road North between Frances Street and Rebstock Road.

The total cost is expected to come in at $6.55 million, and construction is expected to be completed in February.

Money from the sale of the former properties is helping offset the costs of construction. And officials say combining the two stations will reduce the cost of necessary improvements by $275,000 and save taxpayers $900,000 over the next decade.
