PTSD Awareness Month: Texas fire and rescue department launches program to help each other

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition caused by experiencing a traumatic event and effects both military and civilians alike. According to WebMD, nearly eight percent of adults will develop PTSD at some point in their lives. Doctor Sam Fiala, an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University Central Texas, said the last 15 months has been hard on a lot of people.

Firefighter had dispute with colleague he fatally shot at California fire station, authorities say

A Los Angeles County firefighter appeared to have a longstanding job-related dispute with the colleague he shot and killed at their small fire station in what became California’s second deadly workplace shooting in less than a week, authorities said Wednesday. The gunman also wounded a fire captain at the station about 45 miles (72 kilometers) north of Los Angeles on Tuesday before setting his house on fire in a nearby community and apparently killing himself, officials said.

Viral TikTok video shows altercation on Moses Lake before boat fire

The driver of a boat on Moses Lake claims passengers on another boat harassed them and yelled gay slurs at them before the second boat caught fire over Memorial Day weekend. The incident on Sunday, May 30 was caught on camera and posted on TikTok. The TikTok went viral, with over one million likes.
