A certain fellow in a red coat has the City of Laurinburg Fire Department to thank after he was stuck in a chimney.
Or, at least, that’s what the department said.
The department posted a video on Sunday to its Facebook page paying tribute to first responders, detailing a firefighter’s version of the classic “The Night Before Christmas.

VIDEO: A three-alarm fire ripped through a Skyway apartment building early Wednesday, sending towering flames into the sky and forcing everyone inside to evacuate in the predawn darkness.
Twenty-four apartment units were destroyed in the raging inferno, and one man was rushed to the hospital.
Crews from multiple fire districts responded to the scene, the Greentree Apartment Homes on South 125th Street, at around 1:50 a.

VIDEO: A tanker train hauling crude oil derailed in Whatcom County Tuesday morning and two train cars burst into flames. There are no reports of injuries.
Cleanup and the investigation into the cause of the derailment continued Wednesday morning.

The Ocean Shores Fire Department is proud to introduce a new ambulance into its fleet of emergency medical vehicles. The department recently took possession of the 2020 Dodge Ram apparatus a few weeks ago and now is able to place it into service.
The new ambulance is a copy of the last ambulance purchased in 2017, with the addition of new features unique to our community.

A three-alarm fire destroyed a home in the 1800 block of South 12th Avenue early Tuesday.
The fire was reported at 12:23 a.m., according to the Yakima Fire Department. Winds at the time were more than 20 mph, which threatened surrounding homes on three sides, according to a news release.
Because of the winds and the fast-spreading fire, firefighters couldn’t get inside and fought the blaze from the exterior.
