Semi-truck hanging over barrier after crashing on I-5 express lanes in Seattle

VIDEO: The I-5 express lanes through Seattle are closed following a semi-truck crash around 11 a.m. The semi collided with a tree that is now blocking the Mercer Street ramp to northbound I-5, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. The truck is at least partially off the road and hanging over the ramp as well, according to Washington State Patrol.

Cold Creek Fire 75 percent contained; All evacuation orders lifted

The Cold Creek Fire burning along Highway 12 near White Pass is now 75-percent contained, according to the Yakima Valley Emergency Management. After crews were able to contain the fire, the emergency management team says it rained in the area. Officials say the fire did not grow overnight, which still remains at 564 acres.

Containment up to 65% for Cold Creek Fire at White Pass; Highway 12 open

Containment of the Cold Creek Fire increased to 65% Tuesday morning and U.S. Highway 12 over White Pass is open for the first time in nearly a week. Officials measured the fire at 564 acres, a lower number than Monday because of better mapping. Firefighters plan to secure the lines on the east flank and begin mop-up activities in that area on Tuesday.

Quincy first responders step up to assist community member

Quincy first responders from Grant County Fire District No. 3, AFF Local 4418 firefighters, Quincy Police Guild and Protection One Ambulance Service came together last week to assist a community member in need. Members of the various emergency services purchased two 12-volt batteries, and a new wheelchair charger for Quincy resident Dave Stratton.

Smoke seen for miles as crews battle massive fire at Ohio factory

VIDEO: Fire crews are working to get a large fire under control at AAM Metal Forming/Colfor Manufacturing. The factory is on Alliance Rd. NW in Malvern. The fire broke out sometime early Tuesday morning. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office tells FOX 8 they have not had any reports of injuries. There is no word on what caused the fire.
